Inferential Statistics This course introduces probability and mathematical theories about statistical estimation and hypothesis testing.
Theory of Regression Analysis This course deals with the regression analysis in linear and multivariate regression.
Categorical Data Analysis Contingency table analysis, categorical data analysis by generalized linear model including logit model and log-linear model, theory and practice of repeated categorical data analysis.
Computational Statistics This course introduces how to construct an algorithm for statistical calculation based on numerical analysis methods and programming languages.
Statistical Consulting and Practices This course is to develop the skills needed by statistical consultant. Topics include data analysis, problem solving, report writing, oral communication with clients, and practical aspects of consulting management.
Nonparametric Statistics Deals mainly with the non-parametric statistical hypothesis testing including the sign test, McNemar test, Mann-Whitney test, and etc..
Bayesian Statistics Understand basics of Bayesian statistics with emphasis on concepts and applications. Deal with prior and posterior distribution, Bayesian inference and hypothesis testing, Bayesian approaches to linear models.
Time Series Analysis Single or multi-variate time-dependent data analysis. The course including the theory and practices of ARIMAX model, multi-variate GARCH model, unit root test, co-integration model.
Theory of Linear Models Introduces basic statistical theory of linear models, calculation of least square fitting, and theory of the generalized linear model and its application.
Spatial Statistics This course introduces statistical methods considering spatial correlations. Topics are point-referenced data, areal data, spatio-temporal data, etc.
Statistical Data Science This course is aimed at graduate students majoring in applied statistics and interested in data science. It coverse statistical computing algorithms including optimizations, gradient descents, etc.
